Fire him! I've learned that you can't waste time on people who don't want to change, or simply just don't give a shit.

    WTF is up with Marshall?

Marshall, like Fender and other company's now offer 5 year warantees. What people need to realize is that all you're getting is a guaranteed piece of shit! These new amps constantly are in need of repair. Let me tell you, there's nothing more irritating then having your new amp fuck up and start...

    Which Telecaster?

I bought a Japanese '50s reissue used 3 years ago and it is the nicest playing Tele i've ever played. It has the "V" shaped neck, Duncan Pick-ups and a two tone sunburst with a white pickguard. Nice tone and feel. An ash body would be better than the bass wood but for $450.00 I couldn't...

2 rides in a setup! NO crash! Sound good?

Ride on man!!! Ive got a sweet ride myself and its great!

Gonna buy a new Ride ToDaY! But...

The Sweet ride makes an awesome crash! But, it also makes a very versatile ride as well. They have just enough wash to give them that '60's rock, or Alex Van Halen sound, which I happen to love. But it also has warmth and ping as well, and a nice bell sound. I've used 2 rides before and still...

Guitar players, hang your head low...cause your favorite guitar hero could be next!

That don't even look like Jimi. I saw a VH1 movie on Him thaT wasn't that bad but it still had some cheezy parts in it, like the actor trying to play guitar!

    WTB: cheap bass

All things being equal fat people use more soap!

Get rid of the pedals! Put a Hot Rail Humbucker in the bridge position of your Stratocaster and you've got the best of both worlds. I recomend an all tube amp. I have a Fender 212 Deville and I never use effects. it has a great clean sound with my Tele, and an awesome dirty sound with the Les Paul.

Need amp... (Since I am the designated gear-buyer)

You don't need a half stack for recording. Just a nice sounding 212 combo or something. I have a Fender 212 DeVille. It has a nice tone and it's plenty loud.

    Cymbals!

Zildjian As are the most versatile in my opinion. They work well for any type of music.

    Cymbals!

For cymbles, I recomend the Zildjian A series. They're very versatile and I like the way they sound live and in the studio. I currently have: 15" New Beats 17" A Medium crash 19" A medium crash 19" A custom crash 21" A Sweet Ride I like the versatility of the cymbles. I like the larger...

    Big Drums..

I'm entitled to my opinion. You like those small toms? Fine. I don't care. Fact is, Small drums cannot sound big. The comment "an ignorant baffoon?" I think YOU need to grow up. Ex Green Berets, Ex Marines, Jocks and Navy Seals all have Big heads and need to CHILL OUT! You all act like 12 year...

    Big Drums..

Finally, a real mans kit!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome kit Tim! I'm so tired of all these pussies with their 18" kicks and their 10,12,14 bullshit! Then they wonder why their drums don't sound big. Big drums kick ass! I currently have a 10x14,16x16,16x18,14x24 set up but I want a bigger kick, probably a...

    Recommend me some cymbals! Please.

Man, I'm a HUGE Cheap Trick Fan!! I've met all the guys. Rick and Bun E. once and Robin and Tom twice. awesome players and nice guys. Special One? I was a little dissapointed. The last one (CT '97) was 5X's the album. Still, there's good stuff on Special One and they're my biggest musical influence.

8 mics for an 8 piece drumset...

So true! I've seen drummers at shows that their kits sound like shit (i.e. snare heads are too loose because they don't like the ring) because they don't know how to tune their kits. Drums need to have just a little ring or you wouldn't be able to hear them.

    Simple Question..

I'm glad you're getting a floor tom. Alot of guys now use Rack toms instad of floor toms and it just isn't a big enough sound. I believe every kit needs a floor tom and a 16x16 is perfect. It should make a big difference in your sound. And the Ply thickness issue shouldn't make that big of a...

    Recommend me some cymbals! Please.

Cool. you can never have enough equipment to record with. The Projection crashes are pretty cool. K's are nice as well. Bun E. Carlos uses K's when he records sometimes.
