I think this can be a bit misleading though. If you mix into a buss comp, I don't think that should be considered "mastering". I agree that this probably isn't the case here, but talking as if it shouldn't be done at all doesn't seem quite valid either.

If it's a buffer issue, it likely won't export the glitches. I doubt it's distortion because he's overdriving a guitar. Kinda tough to notice extra distortion on a distorted guitar I would think.
