    best STEREO spring reverbs??

Great British Spring had a good name over here - if you haven't seen that name you might want to check it out. I've got an Accessit SRC myself, good reverb (several springs in an external box) but a tiny bit to noisy for me to recommend it.

    Need some help with soundfonts.

btw - I think you might want to have a look a Awave - if my memory is correct (been a while) it makes it a lot easier messing with the banks (merging etc). http://www.fmjsoft.com/

Do most people stay with cakewalk ?

In essence i agree with James (so listen to him) - but keep an eye on what's happening. Even if you do be aware that you won't know if you "need" something until you've tried it. When I went from Pro Audio 9 to Sonar 3 studio I knew pretty well what was waiting for me - some surprises (nearly...

Trey Gunn announces he's leaving King Crimson

I've always seen King Crimson as pretty much "Robert Fripp and friends" so I don't think very much about who's around him at any given time... Somehow I doubt he'd ever choose anyone below brilliant...

Why limit yourself to greece? Couldn't you buy it from here f e? http://www.netzmarkt.de/thomann/ I'd probably go with the Mia Midi before Delta 44. But both are fine cards...

    I got SONAR 3 Pro!!!

Just wanted to let you know (especially Moskus) that I solved the Pc-to-host problem with my NX5R. The guys over at Yahoos n-synth group had run into exactly the same problem. It seems some cables (mine) isn't compatible with XP, you need a cable that is exactly as in the manual. On some cables...

    Sonar 3 or Cubase SX

I don't like copy protections, especially dongles like SX has - to much trouble. And as it seems a real close race in all else I'd go with Sonar...

    Favorite softsynth - what's yours?

I've found a secret - with nearly all synths everyone says their presets suck. So to stay truly original - go with the presets, noone else uses them. ;) I think I've found a few on the synth1 that I can use with some reverb and minor tweaking. But I've downloaded the banks also...

    roland juno

Yes - it's strange. I've heard people say the juno 2 sounds too thin, and later that they like the Korg poly 800. I've got the EX800 and to my ears the juno is fatter. Even thought it has DCO's I think it got a little bit of an analog feel. I know that most people seem to disagree - so I guess...

    Favorite softsynth - what's yours?

I'm pretty new to softsynths - since i got Sonar 3, and I'm even impressed by the freebies included in Sonar. I could get pretty close to my Monopoly with the Triangle II... I've downloaded the synth1 - I like it. Tried some of the presets and it sounds kind of special. Sounds that inspires...

Be careful what you wish for...

Guess I should be happy about the 10 years + I got out of my 244. Jumped on the PC audio bandwagon at Pro Audio 4 - until then I just used the PC for midi. Actually it still gets used as a mixer once in a while...

one of the best deals in multitrack software and why !

This board has a history of spamcontroversy, so it's a touchy subject. But even if not - try reading your first post with the eyes of a non Powertracks-user. I think you'll see why some people reacted like they did. Most of us have probably choosen our tools very carefully. But please people -...

one of the best deals in multitrack software and why !

Come on guys - I asked the man. I don't agree with him - but I was the one who kept him going. manning - I can do all those things in one app (Sonar) - the variety I prefer from the plugins. I would hate to move individual files between projects. But as long as you're happy...

one of the best deals in multitrack software and why !

Btw. Can you easily move projects between those apps? If not you loose some flexibility compared to having it all in one app that has all the features. How do you decide which app to use when starting a project?
