    Need exposure?

No ones shooting your idea down, they just have genuine questions and concerns. You really have to have a killer plan if you plan on making it on the internet. Or a huge amount of luck. Actually both, probably, I wouldn't know :D

Getting drums at the 'back' of the mix

^ All that is fine, but what if you have a sucky room ? Even if I do put up room mics when tracking, I know I most likely won't use those tracks when mixing. I think when most of us here close track everything and add reverb later, it's because of necessity, so to say. I'd love to throw up room...

Condenser mic Behringer C-1 doesn't turn on when connected to Presonus Audiobox

Do other condensor mics work with your soundcard ? Do other dynamic mics work ? Did you check if your mics works? (maybe the LED is faulty )

    The pro piracy thread

Lol, is that really how you see it ? Not very long, and I'm guessing you'll be out with it too :)

Thought I should share my band.

Not bad, sounds like RATM doing reggae. What do you play ?

New Jongleurs toon - Truth and Distance

Sounds nice. The vocals work, the reverb on the solo works for me too. I can understand wanting slightly understated drums for this kinda song, but you overdid it man, bring em up! Other than that, no issues. Good, tight mix.

    Thanatogenous

The lead is a little quiet but it isn't too much of an issue. I wish I had something constrictive to say, but everything sounds terrific. You guys know your shit :D

    Mixing in headphones

Do a quick search of the forum, the headphone issue has been discussed to death. A short summary: it is do able to an extent. You'll have problems with the low end, and panning, among other things. Options include the Sennheiser HD series, Sony MDR, and a lot more.

    Recording Issue

Try different combinations to narrow down what the problem is. Try a different mic with the cable, same mic different cable. Doesn't sound like a mic problem to me. Is all the equipment new ?

fuzz pedal and wah not playing nice

In this day and age, you never know if someone's talking about real effects or sims. But I'm gonna assume you mean real pedals. Which one do you plug into the amp, in other words, which one is first and which one is last ?

    Active bass battery question

You probably have your answer by now, but I know for a fact that changing the battery in stomp boxes does effect their sound, so I guess the same could be said for your bass.

    Tascam US-800

A hundred bucks for 6 XLR inputs is a damn crime. If Tascam start making their products daisy chain-able, I'll buy 3 of these babies. I'm guessing it'd be nice to have 10 extra inputs :D As for drivers and crashing soundcards, etc., you have to really do your homework before making a purchase...

    Newbie questions!?

I wouldn't rely solely on a soundonsound review. I've yet to come across a piece of equipment they don't like. Definitely. I'm not a huge fan of the bundles and packs. It's usually something good with something that doesn't sell thrown in. There are exceptions, ofcourse, but most of it is meh.

Total recording newb, am I on the right track?

I have a feeling that was probably me :D I'm ok with the 8 inch ones, and don't remember if I've heard the 6s. It's the 5s that I don't like, at all.

How can I use my POD XT Live as a soundcard (interface only)

If I recall correctly, you can connect the the POD XT to your PC via USB. You'll need to install the latest drivers from their website. After that, go to your PC settings, and select the POD as your audio device. Select it as the audio device on your DAW too, and record away. I haven't ever done...

Help with using a gate to trigger a sampler

Haha, he's hell bent on not giving me any credit ! For the record I did mean the trigger, but it doesn't matter, I'm just glad you got your snare sounding right.
