    right now, i'd say it's a battle between the Josephson C42 and the Peluso CEMC6. both seem pretty great for the price. anyone want to share their experiences with either of these mics?

    Small Diaphragm Condensor Suggestions...

    i'm looking to replace my mxl 603 mics. they're certainly not bad, but i'm just looking to upgrade all of my mics. i'm hoping to spend $500-$800. i recently decided to buy the AT4050 for vocals, but i'm looking for a complimentary small diaphragm to record acoustic guitar, glockenspiel...

    RNC -> TC M-One Reverb?

    hey big kenny? their "build your own cable" is reasonably priced as well. have you ever done that? how is the quality of the cable construction (as far as soldering and what-not)?

    RNC -> TC M-One Reverb?

    that place is killer. thanks! i think it would be best to make my own cables...i'm going to use the Mogami W2549 cable, and Neutrik NC3MX, NP2C, and NP3C connectors. it's crazy, Mogami charges $33 for a XLR to TRS cables... anyway, i'm cool with making the XLR to TRS cables. that should be...

    RNC -> TC M-One Reverb?

    hello. i'd like to go from my RNC to my TC M-One reverb unit...but the RNC is unbalanced 1/4" out, and the TC is balanced XLR in. an obvious way to do it would be use a cable like this: http://www.directproaudio.com/product.cfm?directid=54147 but would that degrade the sound? if that's the...

    Have I Damaged My VMP-2?

    if anyone is willing, could i get a quick rundown of how to replace the caps on a vmp-2? i have a little experience with working with electronics, but my father is pretty handy with it...if someone could point me to some instructions, i'm sure we could perform the task together. your help is...

    Have I Damaged My VMP-2?

    replacing the tubes is simple, and something i was going to do anyway. but replacing the caps, is that more involved? i'm afraid i'm not familiar with that mod...

    Have I Damaged My VMP-2?

    if i did damage something, what would have been damaged? is there anything i could listen for, or would it be obvious?

    Have I Damaged My VMP-2?

    i used to run the XLR output of my ampeg bass amp (100 watt, about 50% volume) to the XLR input of my vmp-2 to grit up the sound a little bit. i've since read some things that make me think this could have damaged my VMP...it still sounds fine, but i'm just concerned. was that a bad idea? thanks!

    Vocal Mic Suggestions For My Needs...

    right now i'm leaning towards the at4047...because a couple of you are saying it might work for me, and it's one of the most affordable on my list. in the past, i have been using a mxl v67 and a v69me...is it safe to say a at4047 is a step up from those? because i was not thrilled by either of...
