    Computer comparison for recording

From what I understand: in a nutshell, more ram is required to play more tracks and a faster processor is required for more plug-in effects. That being said, you can't have a 5 GHZ processor and 32 MB ram, or a PII 366 and 1 GHZ of ram.

A New PC or DIY PC

I was once making this computer for my friend, but it all together and started her up. The MOBO (motherboard) just had one long beep. ARG!!! turned it off and though I forgot to plug ram in, etc. Anyway to make a long story short; I had too many screws holding the MOBO to the case, causing...

    The AKG C-1000S

I have used the 1000's on female vocals and it was horrible. I used it on a baritone male vocal and that was alright, but I am sure there are much better mics than the 1000's for that. For acoustic guitar look into a pair of mxl-603s' or mk-012's and do a stereo mic on the guitar. Some...

Trying the Demo, have some ?

Cd's are recorded at 16 bit 44.1 MHZ You might be right in not being able to tell the difference between 16 and 24 bit with your hears. I am not sure on this either. However I do know that the huge difference in these is in the head room you get when you are recording. This is due to the...

    Keep looking?

So what if the foundation is not perfect? It's not like you are buying the place It's also possible that the walls were built on piles and the floor is a slab on grade, in which case the floor can bust up all it wants, the building might move a bit (because the slab is doweled) into the walls...

Swap old MB with new one for DAW (not reinstall OS)?

Just swap the one for the other. It's all good. If you have issues then redo your OS. That way you don't end up redoing your OS if you didn't need to

    Streaming audio

Those files on that site are just the plain old mp3. I have never had a problem with the "Stuttering" when playing If the interface loads you have quicktime, if it don't you don't have quicktime. BANDWIDTH is the answer to good streaming. That site is running off of a pentium 166 with 64...

    Streaming audio

It does not save to your computer go to www.endlessfight.webhop.net When the Purchase CD box pops up click on one of the underlined songs. That is a working example of what I explained. another method is to embed the mp3 into a flash file.

    Streaming audio

What I usually do, although it's probably not the "right" way of doing it is: upload the mp3 and make a link to it. It works. The mp3 will play in whatever their default media application is.
