I didn't really have time to read the replies, so I apologize if what I am going to say has been said already. If you stick your cd into the drive and click install, but not format, it will reinstall the OS, but keep the software. You would be better off formating your drive and starting again.

In nero you can specify it to be the last track i believe, but for some reason I think that I have done it to where the one track doesn't play in a cd player. I have only made an enhanced cd once or twice so I cannot remember correctly

I know if you are making your own cd's from Cd-r's you just make a cd that has audio and data on it. Don't know how it works if you are getting them duplicated

by it do you mean the mixer into your Line in or the monitor into another plug? Try plugging your monitor into another outlet in the house. Use an extension cord if need be (for testing purposes). It sounds like a ground loop

I see where you are coming from with the hardware compressor. You will not need a headphone amp if it's only yourself. A headphone amp is needed when you have more than one person. Monitors (ie speakers) are used for when you are mixing your songs. How many tracks do you plan on using at once?

In my opinion I think that analog sounds better, but digital is easier to use. I have a daw and have never recorded onto tap, but that's what I heard said, and I must say I do believe it.
