Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96 Problem! - Urgent!!

Remove the card from your computer and book it up without the card in it. Then turn the computer off, insert the PCI card again and reinstall everything. This will make your computer think you are installing a new piece of hardware. Hopes that works!!!

Thank you very much I will be using the -10 dB pad, and I am recording to a PC, so i'll just move the tracks, good call. Now... What is the formula to figure out how far to offset it in the software depending on the speed of sound and how far away from the source I am. Thanks.

I cannot put a mic right up against the cabinet because it's an AKG C2000 and I wanted to use it as an ambience mic. Will this be a problem?

Am I on the right track?

You loose a lot of sound quality (not to mention time) by copying all your files over to your computer. You want to try to minizime the times that the signal has to change from analog to digital. When you record it becomes a digital file, when you send it to your computer it becomes analog...

Got A Sec? Mind Checking Out My New Site?

I think the reason some sites want you to download the songs is so that you won't go back to the site everytime you want to hear the song. Same bandwidth to stream as to download.

    24 to 16 bit

I have a bunch of files that were recorded on my friends Delta 66 that are in 24/96. I have a MobilePRE and N-track. Is it possible for me to playback the 24/96 tracks? (I am thinking no) How much quality will I lose if I convert everything to 16/48? Thanks

Low-profile PCI, USB or return the forkin puter?

If you have a standard ATX case I would just buy another motherboard. You would be saving money

Got A Sec? Mind Checking Out My New Site?

I really like the look and the feel of the site. I would prefer if the mp3's were streamed. I don't like downloading mp3's to have to listen to them The link to "the band" doesn't work. Seemed to load slow, but it might be my connection (the size of the files seems much larger than it needs...

    Recording a Stereo Source in 2 Mono's

I have never used a minidisc recorder so I am not sure if you can use a digital connection or not. If you can't why not use a "y-adaptor" that is available from any Radio Shack? Maybe i'm way off base...
