BUNCH of MD-441's going cheap on ebay, quit screwing around...

excuse my ignorance :D, but what would you expect these mics to go for normally, I hear sooo much about both the 441 and 421 and i really want one of the two. Maybe if I feel like im getting that great of a deal I'll just go or it

    adjustment for heavy gauge strings

I've always wondered why those things were there. :) they were always just the type of things that you dont touch and just appreciate the fact that they work.

    adjustment for heavy gauge strings

a lot of new insight here When you say intonation reset, what exactly do you mean? I always thought it meant moving the frets around, but I know you can't get that for $35 Eric

    adjustment for heavy gauge strings

Good question :D If it's an as big adjustment as adjusting the truss rod and intonation, I'll just tell him to go back to the .010s. I think he just wanted to try them and see how they sound. They're kind of annoying to play after being used to lighter strings. Eric

    adjustment for heavy gauge strings

My friend brought his guitar over the other day, a musicman silhoutte with a tremolo (but he took of the "whammy bar"). Usually he uses .009 or .010 gauge string sets, but the last time he changed his strings he decided to put on .012 gauge strings. I guess the thicker gauge requires more...

Linkin Park - Meteora - guitar sound ??? Anyone...

Just from knowing the style a little i would say a mesa and a prs should do pretty well for you. I'm listening to their single, the distortion on this sounds pretty crunchy almost digital; at least in the verses. But then again, this whole song has the hip-hop sampled/digital sound going for...

    Building a New PC!

It can a pain in the ass to fit the cables right, because the hardrives can be far from the optical drives depending on your case, but each of the two IDE connecters are on their own channels. Each IDE channel can support two devices. But, only one device can be accessed at once on each channel...

    Mic-ing a LOUD guitar amp?

i dotn know about the mic you're using, but an sm57 can handle a whole shitload of soundpressure before any kind of distortion happens at the mic itself. I often record a mesa boogie dual rectifier at 100 watts, that thing is loud, damn loud, but not nearly loud enough to damage a 57

    Building a New PC!

The best way to set up the devices as far as ide channels go is to have each harddrive as on different ide channels. The reason for this is that the computer can only access one device on each ide channel simultaneously. So if your runnning a program off of one drive which needs audio from...

    problems with bass/sub-bass

Yes and no, what you think of as deep bass is probably around 45-60hz, below that is when you start feeling much more than hearing. It depends what kind of system you're talking about, my mackie hr824s are rated at -2.5 db spl at around 35hz, flat down to almost 40hz. In a car with a powerful...
