can you give me some tips on how to learn how to "tap"?

I have the solution for you. Search on google or yahoo for Powertab . It's an exellent tab program and there are several tabs out there that have tapping and of course, several other techniques. After you have that, go to www.powertabarchive.com and download anything by Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul...

Series of Cubase, Mackie 1402VLZ, and Omnistudio (delta 66) questions

    1. Alright, well first thing off, I have no idea how to switch tempos in Cubase (I'm very bad with these programs). Was just wondering how I could have one section in a certain tempo/time sig and another in a totally different one. If anyone knows how to do this please share. 2. My band...

    Ska Bass Line

ska baselines are very often built around triads to fit around the chords. So if you were playing a c major chord, the bass could go C E G E. Not the way I write basslines but if you're having troubles, then try that out. Example of this. Beer by Reel Big Fish

vocal mic 150 bucks and under

I sing, and do some loud sorta scream singing. I don't really do full out screaming, though. We hate feedback, and whatever mic we get, we want to use it to record. SM58 sounds good :) yes?

Mackie 1402-VLZ Pro + Omnistudio Delta 66 soundcard + Cubase

Sorry for double posting, but I just wanted to ask you guys if you know more about the multirecord function. In a way I understand, but I'm wondering what all those options do, and I'm guessing active activates it. Do I select channel for each mic to go onto a separate channel?

Mackie 1402-VLZ Pro + Omnistudio Delta 66 soundcard + Cubase

Thanks for the advice! I haven't tried it yet (the very last part). Wow 6 inputs? I'm relieved big time. So if I recorded with 6 mics on drums (multi-tracking drums only), then I can mix all 6 mics separately with the Delta 66?

Mackie 1402-VLZ Pro + Omnistudio Delta 66 soundcard + Cubase

Yea i'm using the inserts. That can explain a lot! From that they connect into the left (1st) input of the soundcard. I'd plug some into the 2nd if I knew how to get Cubase to record to different tracks for mixing but I don't :( Anyway, thanks a lot for the help any more would still be...
