    emg vs. seymour duncan?

One thing about the JB...I had one, and gave it away. The way that I got it is that someone gave it to me. My Ibanez stalk pickup was better than the JB, and so is my current Bill Lawrence XL500 I do think that it is a good pickup, but not for the sound that I believe you are going for. It...

    Looking for an amp

    Looking for an amp

No, I just want a metal amp that does electric, but will work for clean as well as distorted sounds. I don't want a straight up blues amp.

    Looking for an amp

Well, I get paid for the community orchestra in may 500 bucks, I have an upright bass I can sell probably for at least 300-400, and my Line 6 AX2 which I'm not happy with. My guess is it will all total up to around 1200, maybe more. I am looking for a new amp, and I think that a good Peavey...

    Recording a pianist (my friend)

Even though i'm a pianist myself, i'm not sure how to mic my friend playing his grand and what I should do with the sound when it's recorded. It's a typical living room, with not much reverb. I can have up to 3 mics to work with I can also borrow mics, but I'm not sure if I should go...

Tuning Down = Any Negative Effects???

I think alternate tunings make guitar very interesting (slide guitar, metal, etc.) but if you have a floating tremelo there are 6 huge problems......... E, A, D, G, B, E they are all out of tune
