    RPC-1 Card?

I beleive the only sound cards that use the R-bus connection are the RPC-1 & the M-Audio Rbus card. These cards are very similar & both made by Midiman. I think the Rbus has a few more inputs (SPDIF maybe?). Look it up on midiman.com.

    RPC-1 Card?

RPC-1 card works good if you're using ASIO drivers or running win98. I assume you would be using it with the VM-3100. Definitely not recommended if your software doesn't support ASIO & you want to run 2000 or xp. I had loads of problems with mine on these os's using Vegas. I have no...

    My 3 1/4" floppy shows up as 5 1/4"!!

My 3 1/4" floppy is showing up in windows explorer as a 5 1/4" floppy. I cannot read from it or write to it. It doesn't show up at all under disk drives in Device Mgr. Any idea how to fix this?

'Scuse me while I hurt yo ears

I think this happened when we converted to mp3-the original wave file is not like that Our drummer has definitely 'lost it'-he'll be the first to tell you:D Thanks for listening

'Scuse me while I hurt yo ears

jr#97-thanks. I'll post the Vegas mixes when they're done (If I can ever get them into Vegas-I'm having trouble retreiving my backed up Roland files-stay away from VS machines!!) participant- I agree about the snare-we have this problem on all our early drum tracks. I re-recorded the snare...

"FeAtheRs anD BoNEs" -one last tune before I move

great song, great arrangement, killer mix this is one I will definitely save. I'm impressed the claps sound so good-I just recently tried recording handclaps & they came out sounding terrible-way too thin.

ruffie remix STRAIGHT OUT OF THE 80'S!!!!!!

straight outta the 80's is right. I think the guitar tone is perfect for this context. Not my favorite genre, but the mix sounds good. Coulda been the theme song to 'Riptide' or one of those.

'Scuse me while I hurt yo ears

Thanks for listening. I think the skips happened when I converted to mp3. I agree with you about the lack of punch. I think we may have run the stereo mix through a compressor at mixdown-bad use of compressor may be the culprit here.

'Scuse me while I hurt yo ears

I have a few songs we recorded on a VSR-880 that I am getting ready to dump into Vegas & finish. These are some rough mixes we did a while back of 2 of these songs. Due to our limited knowlege & eqiupment these basically sound like crap, but I am posting them in hope of getting some good...

A classic 45 single recorded in 1970 by my Dad

I like it. The rythym guitar sounds very african. This could almost be Fela Kuti until the vocals come in. And that fuzz guitar is bizarre sounding. Definately very different from the mixes you hear today.

    Vote For Us!

I think I like it, but I can't hear it well enough to tell. Is that a sousaphone in there?? How was this recorded? It kind of reminds me of our band's first demo we recorded with one mic hanging from the ceiling in the jam room.

    Software for the VS

Is there any software that will allow me to read (or import) backed up VSR-880 song files from my computer's cd-rom & convert them to wave format?

    Lost Again Again (version 2)

Thanks for the save stratomaster! I'll check the levels when I get home-I was in a hurry when I rendered & could be my master volume was turned down. I'll return the favor if I get a chance, but I have a feeling that not many of your posts hit page 2 without any replies. In any case, I'll try...

Click here for a smile :)

Patience, man patience. I think most of us here have jobs & families too. I thought Girlfriend Reba was a trip. I think your backup singer might have had too many tacos that day though. Hope he's feeling better. Might be me, but stuff seems to lose sync a little around the beginning of the...

    My latest....pls listen

Very Haight-Asbury. Sounds like it could have been recorded 30 years ago. I like the lead guitar tone. Not too crazy about the piano, though. I won't comment on the mix/recording because I'm listening on computer speakers & don't trust them. Overall it sounds good.

    Lost Again Again (version 2)

OK, so we re-recorded the bass & snare (popcorn fart), added a few more backup vox & tweaked the mix some. I think the levels on the guitars are better now, but I'm not so sure about the bass & vox. I'm still getting used to new monitors (M-Audio SP-5B's). This mix sounds like crap on my...

    Problems with cdrw

I just finished setting up a new DAW (Athlon 2200, win98se). When I try to copy backed up audio files from cd to the hard drive, computer freezes up at 'Preparing to Copy'. The cd drive is a brand new Plextor. Any ideas?

    Listen, Please

I've got to agree with everyone here-this stuff is great. I listened to those 4 songs all day at work yesterday. For one guy with a sm-58, the recording sounds damn good to me. When you have a cd ready, I'll buy it.
