I was only going by the quoted website specs. I said "if their up to date" concerning non- support of pci express. I did not do my homework beyond the original post and perhaps overstated my opinion. Words in print often come across stronger than intended.

If you read my entire post, I qualified the pci comments with stating that firewire would be fine.

If their not compatible with a G5's pci express they won't be compatible with a MacPro's pci express. This is assuming the website info is current. If it is, RME is hopelessly behind and I would look to a company that offers support of current protocols. Firewire should be fine however.

Being the leader of a contemporary worship band, I find nothing profane about it. Secular possibly, but only in the context of using modern music structure as opposed to hymn based structure.

This is my opinion and only my opinion based on my experience. Steinberg is very Windows oriented and the Mac versions are second rate. Go with DP.

Never had any problems with MF. Ever. Too bad you hit some corporate snag that stressed you out, but the company done fine by me. :)

I second- get a proper mouse. I love my Macs, but haven't used there crappy one button mice in years.

Intel iMacs have only been around for maybe a year. He said his was three years old. The new intel iMacs are killer machines.
