The LTD guitars are absolutely awesome for the price, I fell in love with the M300 at Steve's in Toronto a while back, I would assume that the basses are just as good as the rest of the line!!
What do you mean by 'switch to analogue recording'? Mini discs are 100% digital... nothing analogue at all.
There might be analogue inputs (and there are definately analogue outputs) but it is converted to digital right away.
I myself would buy a minidisc simply because I dont have the money...
yeah, its actually better to use a power amp thats rated above your speakers because its usually power amp clipping from cranking the amp that blows speakers.
With a louder amp you can get clean power all the way to the limits of the speakers handling.... just use your own discretion with loud...
try the rectified settings with the 4x12 cabs. i did a whole album with it. its got a good, even, saturated distortion. not to much highs or lows.... give 'er a try!

Randall amps are quite cheap in comparison to other brands and you get a lot for what you pay in my opinion... I'm still kickin myself in the nuts for not buying a Randall 100w head that I saw in a guitar store locally.
Try checkin out Goldwave, its a free wav editor and it has a 'maximize volume' option which I believe is better than normalizing because it just raises the volume... I could be wrong...

Hey, I listened to the MSP-10's when I finally got my butt down to a store that sells em a month or so ago... They sounded real good to my ears, but I haven't heard ANY of the others so I can't really say.

I like pod cuz you've got two different paramaters for each knob (these are accessed by holding the 'hold' button and turning knobs if you didn't know... took me a while!). Mesa sounds are good, and some of the clean sounds are soooo nice.... the blackface is especially cool.
