Before i bought my Taylor 110 i spent an hour and a half in the acoustic room at sam ash and tried every guitar up to $1300 price range and the 110 sounded the best by FAR. The Martins all sounded dull. The Taylor's sound "sparkles."

I read someplace that Paul Mcartney used an AC30 at one point. If I plugged my bass into my new AC30CC2 and recorded it at moderate volumes would I hurt the amp at all? Would it sound good especially recorded?

my black tolex BJr is a 2004 so it has the same exact electronics as the 2005 tweed.

i went with the 2x12 because the 1x12s were out of stock everywhere. i also would like to have teh 2 x12 if i ever wanted to go back to a "bigger" sound. wouldnt it be "pushing less air" with one speaker? it has to make some difference.

i have the new vox ac30 custom classic with two 12s. if i disconnect one of the speakers by pulling off the terminals and taping them up will the amp perform like a true 1x12 combo? would i hurt the amp at all?

Its a small, cool sounding 15W tube amp. If you record blues or bluesy rock its the perfect formula for a great studio amp.

i know this thread a little old but i jut got an AFS75T artcore and i LOVE the feedback i can get with my blues jr. the feedback with the tremolo can make for some AWESOME sounds. this is with no pedals and just the reverb on about 2. its a very cool guitar without the feedback too:)

Ive also recently plugged into a tiny vintage fender champ at the local Guitar Center that was priced at $999. that amp sounded like SHIT. my $449 GA-5 Gibson gold tone blows it out of the water.

im not big on buying 40 year old equipment. its super expensive and usually beat up. i buy most everything new. new gibsons, fenders, rickenbacker. i just got a fender deluxe reverb reissue amp that im having a TON of fun with. to me "vintage-new" is a way better and econimical way to go IMO
