    Another acoustic/vocal tune needing critique

Stretching my very limited vocal abilities quite a bit here. I've tried retracking several areas but I can't seem to get it any better. Should I keep or trash this? It is the very first one called "Here With Me." Thanks in advance. http://www.box.net/shared/2goarza7f5

    Recording Acoustic guitars.....

The FMR RNP is a good one and you'd still have plenty of dough left for other toys - even if you get the RNC with it.

    Is the bass too strong?

Thanks Eck. So its not too far off then if it is ok to leave it in? Is it not too embarassing? I just don't want it to take away from the song. Thanks.

    Is the bass too strong?

Rick, Thanks for your compliments. You've always been kind enough to give my projects a listen. Eck, "Weekend" is a Neil Young song - big fan here. Thanks for the compliment. I would apprecicate it if you could specify the parts of the song where the vocals need the autotune. Never used it...

    Is the bass too strong?

Thanks for listening. I listened to it in the car and I agree that it needs more boom. There really is an issue with my PC speakers. Which part/s of the song do the vocals not fit well? Thanks again.

    Is the bass too strong?

Thank you. Lubbock isn't close to anything so that kinda sucks. It does feel good when someone else appreciates this hobby, especially someone who is not as particularly interested in it as we are. Thanks again.

    Is the bass too strong?

Sorry for the delayed response guys. Just now taking my Christmas tree down and storing it in the attic. Whew, I'm taking a break for sure. Thanks very much all for listening and for the kind words. I'm in Lubbock, TX. Any of you guys close by, let's get together and jam. Chrisharris, you're...

    Is the bass too strong?

Thanks ido. I'll definitely need to check my PC audio settings. I record using an AKAI DPS 16 and my recordings sound great through my Events 20/20 but when I put them on CD listen on my PC, I hear too much boominess.

    A Jim Croce Tune

I generally agree with your statement. However, I also want to point out that the term "high end" means so many different meanings to different people. Is Rick spending too much for his gear? Only he can answer that. He clearly enjoys using it to create music that is meaningful to him and...

    Is the bass too strong?

It's the first song "Wonderwall Ac." I had to redo the vocals but for some reason the whole things seems way too boomy for me. Not sure if somethings off with my settings or not. Let me know what you guys thing and TIA. http://www.box.net/shared/2goarza7f5

    11 hours of work.

What guit, pick up, amp and stompbox (if any) did you use for rhythm?

Sounds awesome! Man I wish I can play like that. How did you get that rhythm guitar tone? That's exactly what I've been looking for.

Acoustic version of Mercy Me's "Homesick"

Thanks for listening Steve. When I can, I will retrack and get rid of the hiss but for now I am more interested in learning the guitar riffs in Crazy Train. Seriously. I like the RNP for my applications but at the same time I never really experimented around with other pres so I don't have...

Acoustic version of Mercy Me's "Homesick"

Danny, Thanks for giving it a listen and for your words of encouragement. I used my Sheppard Madrigal and recorded it with SP C4s with omni capsules. I used a Rode NTK for vox. Everything goes into my FMR RNP and RNC into MY AKAI DPS 16. Thanks again.

Acoustic version of Mercy Me's "Homesick"

Recorded this contemporary Christian song a while back. Can't get rid of the hiss. Will have to retrack the opening and ending guitar and certain parts of the vocals when I can. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks in advance. http://www.audiostreet.net/artist.aspx?artistid=8326

    Acoustic Blue Cars

Thanks for taking the time to listen. On the drum machine, is the sound quality or just the lack of variation? I really need to read that danged manual. Mics for guits are SP C4s. Vox is NTK all plugged into FMR RNP and RNC.

    Neil Young cover

Thanks for taking the time to listen guys and special thanks to the compliments. I am a big Young fan but never really tried to do covers of his stuff. I felt like I coudn't do any of his work justice. This is one of my favorite songs so I decided I'd give it a shot anyway. Will redo the...
