As far as a recording software I'm a Cakewalk Home Studio 2004 user. My music style is progressive rock / heavy metal. My recordings include the use of guitar, bass, drums, keys (and keyboard sounds).
I record using live instruments as well as dxi software and drum modules... (external midi...
I use the audigy 2 zs platnium........ unfortunately I have never had the need to send a signal out of my computer and into something else, everything I do is with HomeStudio software, but I'll try to help. I guess for starters what size jacks and plugs will you being running into on your mixer...
I have been looking at the Alesis DM5 and I wanted to know how it compares to the SR-16 which currently use. My main application for the module is for a sequencer to trigger......... i will probably never use it to program beats and what not......... drum voicing, kits, selection....... that is...
I have the Creative Lab Sound Audigy 2 ZS.......... I find that the card works very well..... what are the types of cards which are better suited for this application, and what kind of price range?
