well between you and a couple other threads that I have been reading, I figured out how to actually get them into reaper via VSTi plugins, not really sure why i didn't think of that on my own. my problem now is that while the midi track tells me that there is a kick drum playing, there is no...
ok well that cleared up about 90% of my problem. I'm still not getting any actual sounds from the track, but it says that there is a kickdrum VSTi playing. is there a tutorial that I Could read so i can stop wasting your time?
All i'm finding are the instrument files(.nki) the mulitis (.nkm) and some midi loops that are being processed with a piano voice because I have no drum voices to assign to each part. it's kind of amusing, but totally useless to me...
my daw of choice is Reaper. the problem that I am coming up with is that the slate samples aren't .wav files, their .nki files which as far as I can tell can only be used by Native Instruments software.
I have access to a cheap controller, and I'm planning on getting a better one soon I just haven't needed one until now and I was hoping to not have to set up everything everytime. The software is hosted by Native Instruments, and each sample is .nki, which is there own thing. it looks like i...
I bought the Steven Slate EX pack from audiomidi. What else do I need to start actually building drum patterns? I thought there would be some sort of sequencer included with it, but either there isn't or i'm not smart enough to get it figured out. I have access to a cheap midi controller, but...
I have been wanting to start working on creating some drum loops for our band(we have gone through 3 drummers and all have either moved on or quit coming to practice) and we would like to get something finished recording wise. I bought the samples, but I don't have any program for actually...
I know I'm a little late to this party, but I listened to the second version three times now and I love this stuff! this is kinda the direction my band is going, so it's good to know that I might be able to get a few usable tracks for us! I really want to hear a version with full vox, I bet it...
Thanks guys I'll look into the splitters. my first choice was to use two separate rigs. I just haven't really messed with cuemix enough to know if it's worth even having. thanks a ton!!
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, move it if it doesn't fit here...
My brother and I are just starting planning for a bunch of outdoors shows we are hoping to set up this summer. Our plan is to run and record the event, and sell samplers of each show. Right now we are...
I really dig this song. I will be recording my band in the next month, and I hope that we can get something that will sound half this decent! Can't wait to hear the next one!
But shouldn't I get something different when I try to pan things? And why would I get stereo, or at least sound from both speakers, while recording/after rendering the track?
To start off, I am running a MOTU 8pre into my hp laptop with Reaper. I am using the headphone out for monitoring. While recording and after rendering a track, I get perfectly fine stereo sound, but if I try to play anything back after the tracks have been laid down, i get left only. panning...
it told me that the links were messed up but I hit reload page and they both worked fine for me. you could also look up Lights Camera Action in SoundClick, that should work as well.
I had a request for clips from the Karma K-Micro SDC mics from this thread so I figured I would post the clips here as well, in case anyone is interested or for future searches...
Here is a track where acoustic guitar and vox were recorded with a K-Micro. The vox on the other track was recorded...
ok so here is a track where acoustic guitar and vox were recorded with a K-Micro. The vox on the other track was recorded with a GLS-Audio ES 57, an SM 57 clone, for comparison. The only thing I have done to the track is edit the levels and add the fade out. The singer is doing bgv's on this...
I wasn't able to get any electric guitar, but I got some vox and acoustic guitar, but I'm having trouble getting signed up with SoundClick. as soon as I can get my account activated, I will upload the song.
