    bluegrass song..."Will You not Dance?"

What's Rockbox Cajun?? Anyway, I just got the kit set, the mics leveled, the tracks assigned and all I gotta do is hit record. The drums won't be anything much...if I can't make it fly, I'll beep you, OK? I just added the cello and bone in the suprise bridge. About 15% of bluegrass has a...

Old Song, New Drums, New Guitars - How's This Mix?

Yeah. The new mix is moofy. Over-processed...too compressed?: the center guitars step on the vox. The notes of all the backing chordal instruments are stuck together with some kind of glue. Or something. I'm not listening on the best stuff...but I've been trolling new tunes here. This one...

Indie Folkish Tune for your Review

Yep. I says to myself," It's '66 all over! Really liked the sound of the guitar. The brushes were nice, too.

New song in a new direction - Maiden - Please tell me what you think

Nice! The boom gets buried in the choruses. Need dat boom. Reminds me of a recent hit...can't remember the name something about 'stars'...great tune. You modelled it after that one? Nailed the genre. No..wait: it was about 'fireflies'.

    bluegrass song..."Will You not Dance?"

Adding drums, cello and bone....but thought I might keep this version. Most tracks have only tape sim...no tweaks. Just a rough mix, panning. And a little verb, compression and level up. Any suggestions welcome...my ears are deteriorating. SoundClick artist: Jeff Maher - page with MP3 music...

    Find the Enemy

Well, I gots mo' manly drums! I Also hear a major diff in the more disorganized sonance of the D3 piece, and the organized dissonance of my splendeiferous nonsense. I went to great pains to provide muiltiple frequency discomforts in every progression. :^) A sonic version of the visual that...

    Find the Enemy

Well, not so much musically, I think. I'd like to keep things a bit more interesting. I'm leaning...when not trying to create virtigo, for a more Bach-style [lite] in the strings. I think there's only two chords and a bunch of loops of organic instruments...and the fiddle meowing over the top...

    Find the Enemy

Hmmm. Stepping back from that one for a while. I tried to keep constant vertigo in it. Then there's this violin thing. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for. TX for the comments. It does need cleanup as it stands. Lazy strings. Some of the dissonance, too dissonant. I don't hear...

    Find the Enemy

SoundClick artist: Jeff Maher - page with MP3 music downloads Hot off. As tracked. Leveled up. No compression or other stuff...except overall verb. Carl Moniz playing drums. What would you do? Maybe a feature solo melody? Like Miles Davis trumpet? Muted? Anybody got a mute? Is the...

    Last Joke of Summer

The intro was nice...a real nice sound for the guitar....vintage. The only prollum was the time. The second chord is a little late in striking, most of the time...beginning and outtro. A little unsettling. The pulse seemed to be OK, like you played to a click...but that hesitation on chord...

Any opinion on this cinematic track I did?

Good one! The only nit I have is that the 'crush' snare is a little up in the mix...and maybe a little dry. Listing in mono on a 4.5 inch monitor. You were at the line of note randomness and melody. Strode the fence successfully, I think. The recording sounds great.

    Vocal Version: "Sunshine"

yessir. While I wait patiently for God to do his work on me and my wife, I've surrounded myself with instruments I can barely play, and I'm learning to make noise with them. I ditched the plan that involved thousands for new computers and sound libraries....resulting in fake, sanitized...

    Come Together

Well, I like the liveness and the mix and all of the sounds. Could use a little ambience. But what is a little bit of a downer for me is that the signature opening riff...especially on the bass...isn' played right. That's like THE thing in the song. The substitutions don't have the same...

    Grass

Wow! Listen to the Beatles, much? :^) I liked this a lot. It is original, yes? I did a search to see if it was a Lennon cover! Melodic, well arranged, good imagination. Everything is there...all the elements. There's one spot where I'd have added two beats to a measure to allow word...

A pro-soccer team anthem? A little diddy from the studio.

Mix 9 is real good! Here's where I think the drums wimp: The snare hit is a grace note standing alone. It sounds girlie. Hits on the ones [instead of the ands-of-twos] would cudgle the opposition and zing darts at them. MH freakin' O. Arrrggghhhh! But it's got great sounds, and is...
