    help!

The Layla EXP will do that, but they quit making them because there was not enough demand for the unit. I found one on Ebay. Since there wasn't much demand for the product, you may be able to find a dealer who has one around. Also, since there wasn't much demand for the product, it might be...

    Vst Help needed

You may have too much peak progam material. Are you normalizing to peak? You may need to do some compression or limiting to get your RMS volume up. Try a little hard limiting before you normalize. It's hard to be more specific without hearing or seeing the mix. Can you post a sample?

Who is better Dave Grohl or Foo Fighter drummer Taylor Hawkins

That's like askin', "What's better, a fork or a spoon?". Comparing 2 musicians like this is not possible (in my opinion). I'm sure they each have things they are "better" at than the other.

    Question About Notching

You should be able to use the paragraphic eq in sound forge to get the job done. Just enable the low and high shelves, set them to the desired frequencies, and cut them all the way.

How can I track down a grounding problem on my guitar?

OK...Here's another thing you can try to eliminate or confirm that the ground wire going to the bridge is/isn't the culprit. Hook up a clip lead from a good ground in the electronics cavity of the guitar or the 1/4" input and clip it temporarily to one of the strings. If the buzz goes away...

    Tascam M-30 mixer

Yes, it does. They are RCA I believe. I am at work now so I can't look at the board. I know they are there. I'm just not 100% on the RCA thing.

    transferring analog to digital

You should be able to come out of the L&R outputs of the Tascam and go directly into the line input of your sound card. You just need the proper cable with whatever ends fit your gear (probably 1/8" stereo to two 1/4"?). That should be just "dazzling" enough.:D

    PC slowing down!

First I would look in your device manager and make sure that all of your drivers are installed correctly or at all. It's possible that when you f-disked the system and reinstalled windows that it did not correctly reinstall all of your devices or could not recognize certain devices. If that all...

How can I track down a grounding problem on my guitar?

Not all but most of the time I've encountered this, it's the ground wire going to the bridge. This is especially common on guitars that have a painted bridge. The manufacturer doesn't scrape enough paint away on the bottom side of the bridge to get a proper ground. If you can get a meter it's...

    Plugs and such

Without knowing what kind of sound card you have this is a guess, but I suspect you need a y-cord with 1/8" stereo on one end to 2 RCA's on the other.

Tascam M-30 mixer 8X2 production quality board. Older board, but still used in a lot of radio stations and production houses today. All sorts of ins and outs, aux mixes, etc. Parametric eq. In great shape. I know I'm not going in to much detail here, but if you want to know something more...

    Dithering opinions needed

What M.Brane is saying is that if you are just backing up the files, back them up as .wav files and make a data disk. You do not need to dither in this case. Also...even if you were making an audio disk you only need to worry about dithering if you are (as M.Brane stated) lowering the bit rate...

New Song - Theme Song for a friend's radio show

Cool mix. No critiques of the mix at all. The lyrics seemed a bit "hoakie", but I agree with chris...the "cubefour" chorus part is very cool. Maybe do a shorter version without the verse vocals for an intro/voice over thing also (but then you've probably thought of that). Great work!
