I would like to get you folk's opinion on which one to get. I've got a KB300 and really want a good portable piano sound. I'm not a "player" but would like to have something in my studio that a real player would be comfortable with.
I have wanted a pair of these for some time and ordered a pair this morning. They were out of the individual mics, selling 150 of them since their add on Monday. He said dealers were snapping them up, I imagine you'll see them on ebay. They offered me a 2001 with shockmount (normally $99) for...
Yet another choice
...for a LCD mic would be the MXL V93M, The Mars version of the MXL 2003. I don't have a 67, but I luv my 93. I've seen them for $99, 2/3 of the sale price I paid, and half the "original" retail price. It comes with the mount and a -10 pad, very nice to have. I don't know...
I may be stepping out of bounds here,
But have you considered a dynamic? A Sennheiser 441 is one I might try. In a studio setting there may be others too. A Shure SM-7??
I have Mackie<1202,1604>, Behringer<1004>, and a Soundcraft <F-1>. The 1202 was my first and all of them still serve their purpose. The 1004 I can use without AC. on sale at my GC for $79 right now. The Soundcraft is really the one I go to first for recording, Nice long sliders, and a sweepable...
REVERB DilemMa
Right now I have a mediocre alEsis midiVERB IV. I have been saving up for a Lexicon M5** or TC unit, Now a Roland 330 popped up for around $225. You guys think I should spring for it, or keep on saving?
4.7 gig on one side, you can get doublesided for up to 9.7...
Last night I found one with a 8 meg buffer too. Forgot the speed.
I have a link at home. I'm at work now but I'll post it later.
Thanks Wren, for the link. I'm going to hold off on the monitor purchase for last because I think the prices will come down more by the time I get this all done, and I want the max USE with the warrantee.
I plan on getting a cheapo 15 inch LCD.
The server case I got is plenty heavy duty AND deep. No ears but the cast cover has threaded holes so I can fab a couple up easy enough for mounting. I'll more than likely just make a drawer for easy in/out without messing with screws.
