    Sure you can Analog is a breeze, just take the line out of the earphone jack, but if you need to get the digital signal out, you will need a deck or expensive PRO portable that has a optical out.

    Thanks, The rate is 44.1out of a Sony JE700 , optical into a Ultramatch, then coax out into my AW 850-D card. I did get one track close by stetching the time but there has to be a idiot proof way to do it.

    I was able to get my MD into a wav file thru spdif, but now it plays back at a high speed. I want to record them to a CD. I couldn't find anything when I searched their help. Any Ideas?? This Cool Edit Pro is all new to me as I just installed it last night.

    which mic for trombone live?

    The club I go to mikes the trombone with a Sennheiser MD421 . It's 18" or so in front of the bell and pointed straight it. Like the cord is in line with the horn. It sounds good to me. Not cheap, but good.
