Last night was the most creative I have ever been on my VF80. The only thing is it didn't work. I was laying down the drums for one of my bands songs through Reason although you can't play a song with 2 different tempos in Reason (I know you can have half time and double time but this is a...
Listen to Muse's Thoughts of a Dying Athiest and can anyone tell me how Bellamy acheives the sort of growling effect on his guitar leading into the solo?
Aaaahhhh! Right. I'd be able to borrow a mixer. Does anyone know how much it would cost to rent a set of drum mics for a day or 2? Damn this all starts to fall together. (when you have folk filling in the blanks for you!! :D )
Now this is looking like it's close to what I need The RCA looks like it would fit a like a jimmy hat into the S/PDIF connectors and the 1/8" jack looks like it would fit the back of my pc!
Is that what the 2 S/PDIF / DATA connectors are? I don't doubt your word but as has been said the optic connector is rectangular whereas on the back there are 2 round connectors for the S/PDIF.
Cheers Rick. I have used the Click track before and I was able to use this but I feel that the rest of my band would bugger up their timing without hearing the drum phrasing. How is it possible to record with more than 2 mics with only 2 inputs Would a set of drum mics all converge to be able to...
Using a VF80 and due to it only having 2 inputs I will lay the basic drum track down with Reason on 1 track. Using that I can put down guitars and then I can record The drums Using 2 mics while the drummer listens to the guitars through the earphones. Can anyone suggest any improvements upon...
I will happily buy on Ebay but, as you addressed, it's the whole being conned and the whole shipping thing. It'll be the pawn shops for me. I might also just do the "pay for it weekly" thing.
I think I'll probably just go to a shop or to A pawn shop and get one. I don't want ripped off. I could always just use Reason to make bass sounds but the bass patch is utter bollocks.
Has anyone made their own effects pedals or doctored their own ones to get a new sound? I found a website that had the schematics for different well known pedals but it's all hebrew to me.
I'd say the rent to buy option is the best way to go. If you decide after a while that guitar playing just isn't for you you haven't lost much. Don't shell out loads for your first guitar but then again don't buy crap because you will regret it. I'd say an hour a day practicing with a tab or...
Click the button for back panel Then you can see what my S/PDIF I/O looks like. It's the Sound blaster Live that I have too so if you can make sense of this I would like to hear your opinions. :D
