    Need advice on interfaces...

omg - this floored me in the product description for that TubePre: "Unlike most tube preamps, the TubePre V2 lets you add as much or as little tube warmth as you like. " Translation: "Unlike real tube preamps, this is a solid-state one with a little starved plate toob circuit you can use like...

    Behringer 802 / Adobe Aud/ Behringer t 47 Problems

Make sure the line-in isn't muted in Windows, and make sure it's selected as the recording source. If that stuff checks out, plug those outputs you're using from the mixer into something you know works and make sure there's actually signal there or plug another source that you know works into...

Our bass player shows up last night with a "JAM HUB"

I think you got what he meant - like does it record multiple tracks into your computer. Its just the stereo mix, though, right? or in this case mono. The people demand a stereo example, btw! It really does sound good for what it is. Stereo mix!

    Applying a "Master Limiter"

I have very little to add here, but I do have three things to say - 1. During mixing, I only recommend actually making active use of limiters on your submix busses (smash drums together, smash guitars together, smash vocals, smash smashed guitars into smashed vocals, etc), and even then, use...

    Help!! Velocity???

Seriously? By whom?! Let's get 'em! :spank: Your post even preemptively addressed what the next post said your post didn't address by addressing it ahead of time...lol. Clairvoyance de'Duffy!

Yea the SoundCloud link works. That sounds a lot better than I was expecting, honestly. Why is the recording mono, though?

    In need of help.

Me, too... but I'll throw in some minimal answers on the off chance we're wrong (if what he says is true - minimal answers are all he needs anyway). No and there never will be. It's like asking which calculator is best...exactly like that, in fact. Yes. If you're starting from scratch and...

How do i connect Alesis 3630 to Saffire Pro 40?

I wouldn't even call it a compressor, lol. Just an "almost random weirderizer". I've never used such a weird...thing... as the 3630. @OP - you can use it during mixdown by routing an unused output(s) from the SP40 to the input on the 3630 and back into an unused input(s) on the SP40. I don't...

KRK Rokit 8s vs Yamaha NS-10s

Oh, yea - I actually looked into that guy more later (I forgot this was the thread that happened in...). He is legit, and I hope he sticks around. Funny, too. He's got some good stuff on youtube :)

KRK Rokit 8s vs Yamaha NS-10s

Thanks :) I definitely like 'em. The studio my ears developed most in had a pair of 1032s for nearfields, and my mixes on these turn out just as good as those (to be fair, my mixes on several other pairs were/are fine, too, once I got used to them - but I always felt kinda blind in comparison...

    Cubase Controller

No jab taken. I do know how to use it, I just honestly can't say it's any faster to do anything on it (or any other one) mixing-wise, than with keyboard shortcuts and a mouse. Plus on that one, it's so big, you have to physically move your body to reach the controls... It's just not faster -...

Our bass player shows up last night with a "JAM HUB"

Awww.. what a cute little thing. :) Did you run all your instruments DI into it or what? And non-image attachments are ridiculous lately... Might have to use soundcloud or one of those filehosting places.

Behringer X1832USB Xenyx And Reason Record Mixer

We're discussing the uselessness of control surfaces for mixing (and their usefulness for transport and locate) here: https://homerecording.com/bbs/general-discussions/digital-recording-computers/cubase-controller-341595/ He asked about Cubase, specifically, but only because he doesn't realize...

KRK Rokit 8s vs Yamaha NS-10s

A bit colored? Did you look to see if the HF knob on the back was set to something other than 0? Or listen to some others in the same space that sounded less colored? I ask because I would have never described the RP8s I had as colored. In fact - I only switched to what I use now (Event...

Behringer X1832USB Xenyx And Reason Record Mixer

Why do you think its possible what you want to do? That mixer isn't a control surface for computer-based software, is it? I'm quite certain it is not.

    Audio Technica Equivelant to SM58?

Seriously? Comparable in what way? Price? Frequency response? If one of those, you can surely look that up for yourself just as fast as anybody else can for you. If you're wondering about an AT (or any brand, really) mic's ability to double as a hammer like an SM58, I doubt you'll find one...
