You should've posted this in the Tascam forum;) To record 8 simultaneous tracks: 1) plug in your 8 mics (or sources) 2) press and hold the input button and press the select button of the track you want to record in. You have to repeat this process asigning each input to a track; eg: input A to...

I also own a DP-01:) What I do, is that I transfer all my tracks to my PC to edit and mix using Adobe Audition. I compress, and apply all effects there. Maybe you should try applying effects to your tracks on a PC. Cheers!

Hey mate, great choice:D We both are soon going to join the 2488 club:cool: I've read many people have had trouble with their units, but it's just a matter of luck. All standalone multitrack recorders, be them Tascam, or any other brand, may have bugs. I just hope we receive "bug free" units;)...
