I have owned the VS2400 for a couple of years. I like it a lot. Even though it comes with a manual the size of a phone book, it's pretty easy to get started with. Make sure to buy a monitor for it, all functions are much easier to see and edit (like comp software) with one. I guess a limitation...
Thanks for the advice. I don't think my feet are necessaraly weak, I can play triplets (RRL) pretty fast. Even single foot triplets. I have been playing a long time. It's really more of a timing thing I guess. If i play sixteenth notes on the snare, I can follow with my feet at a decent clip...

You might take a look at the B-52 amps. Good stuff. Good prices. I own the combo, it was about $800, 100w all tube. I think the head is about $700.

I use 4 sometimes (bass, snare, 2 oh) and sometimes I'll add 3 for Toms and add 1 for a triggered bass drum...so up to 8.
