    Altec/Western Electric 'salt shaker' 633a question

    Hey gents, I was just wondering if the top part screws off of these older 633a 'salt shaker' microphones? I tried to unscrew it, but it seems like its on there pretty tight, and I didn't want to force anything. :confused: I want to open it up to clean it up a little. Thanks!
