is there any alternative to encoding a finished project other than using cakewalks mp3 encoder??? they want $29 for it!!!! You would think it would be part of the program. Any thoughts????

Hello Gurus!! maybe someone can help me...Whenever I create a drum track in midi synth, it gets copied to my guitar track in audio. So , even if I alter or delete the original drum track, I can still hear it on my audio guitar track. Any thoughts??

it is a midi track.....is it hard to convert??

Hi! I'm trying to export a project to an mp3 file. it has six tracks one of them being the drum track. when i export to mp3, all the tracks go over except the drums...Any thoughts??? Thanks

i'm using sb live 5.1 card..using one of the sb synths to do the drums.....

when ever i try to create a drum track in home studio 2004 i get 2 or 3 beats down and then i get a "CWHS.EXE" error message and then the whole program quits.....any thoughts??? thanks

i don't think i do....i used to use drag and drop drummer with my old cakewalk guitar tracks software....I just assumed it would work the same way with home studio...apparently i was mistaken. I see drag and drop drummer in one of the drop down menus but i can't seem to access the drum tracks...

i'm sorry for my ignorance....what is virtual sound canvas??? i don't remember reading about that in the manual.....

i did set it to 10....nothing. did i skip a step?? do you have to assign different instruments to different channels?? If so, how is that done?? thanks for your help!

ok...i think i know how do to this now. the trouble is, i can't seem to assign the keyboard the drum kit. The keys either sound like a piano or a bass guitar...no drums...any thoughts??

I'm using a soundblaster live 5.1 sound card. I have my electric guitar plugged into the line input port. I've checked all volume levels and made sure they were on maximum and still the best i can do is get about 1/3 of the way up on my recording meter. When I record the track pane barely shows...

yes...I am plugged into the line in port of my soundblaster live 5.1 sound card....you think i should try to record mono left to fix the problem??

when I try to record a guitar track...everything is getting directed to my left speaker...i checked the balances and the pans and everything is set to center but I am getting nothing from my right speaker..either when I'm recording or during playback...can anyone help?

so, if i use a "Y" connector into the line input of the soundcard, how will cakewake separate the two guitars onto two separate tracks????

I see that the new cakewalk home studio has the ability to record 2 or more tracks simultaneously (ie two guitars). My question is, what kind of sound card do you need to do this? I have a soundblaster live 5.1. This card has one mic input and a joystick input. Are there any special cables or...
