    couple of newbie questions

    by master track you mean the mixdowned track? If so, just start a new multi track and insert the mixed down wav. If you mean apply to all the tracks while still mixing them...you can run them through a bus. as for the levels, I believe that is under 'views'

    not sure if this will help, but after you bring it over, you can right mouse click on the wave form and then set the offset to zero.

    there are probably a hundred ways to do this...I will give you a couple. 1) double click on the wav form and go into the edit mode, from there you can highlight and delete the silence. 2) from the multi track view you can select only the portion you want to play, again, just by highlighting it...

    did you make sure the sound card is armed properly in Cool Edit Pro? Can you record using windows recorder?
