    depends on the program you use... I know in both CEP & in Cubase you can decide which order you want them in.

    heads are standard remo (I am not the drummer so can't help you a ton here), not too sure how they are tuned...but yes, this is no eq, no compression...nada...what you hear is what the mic heard :)

    ps: things like...compress at 3:1 then eq boost at 2k is extremely helpful...I am unsure about the order things are supposed to go in.

    Cubase to CEP2

    Hey guys, I am tracking in Cubase sx because of the ASIO drivers and then bringin the tracks over to CEP2 to mix and stuff...for some reason though the time off sets don't work together...so if a track in cubase starts off at say 1.03 and I offset the block to 1.03 in CEP2, it doesn't match...

    I used to use CEP2 but can't because of the ASIO (or lack there of) drivers...so now I am using a combo of CEP & Cubase SX. Cubase for tracking, CEP for mixing... 1) why is it when I try to move a wav file over to CEP and use the start time of that wave as the block offset in CEP does it not...

    Have a B1, B3, 2-SM58, and 4 - Sennheiser e604. I have a mackie 1604vlz pro, and presonus firestation with 2 tube mic preamps built in....thoughts on mic placement for drums? Going for a Jimmy Eat World feel.

    if you were building a pc...

    i was using a p4 2.4 and it was plenty fast to handle cubase and bunch o plug-ins. I am thinking about getting one of those $400 dells for my studio...I am running the firestation so all I need is the firewire hookup.
