    Keyboards + Guitar Pedals

Then what's the reamp box for? I understand it's for 4dbU+, but it says it corrects impedance mismatching. www.reamp.com

    Taylor 310

It was in the Harmony Central Reviews. I couldn't find anyone on the web that sells it.

    Taylor 310

I played one for the second time at Sam Ash today. It was $1000. I have heard of people buying it for $800. Where I don't know. Maybe someone can fill me in. I also want to try out an Alvarez. I want something with a thin neck. Anything else I should try out?

    Keyboards + Guitar Pedals

cool. I thought you needed a DI in reverse or something like. I heard something about change of frequencies if you have the wrong impedances. Maybe that's just for Guitar into Lo-Z. Thanks!

    Keyboards + Guitar Pedals

Do I need a DI box to plug in a keyboard to guitar pedals? I'm worried about burning out the inputs and not getting a good tone from possible impedance mismatching. Thanks, EIK

Need DI To Record My Bass W/ Active Pickups?

I read it in tons of places. Just look arround a bit. It's good to have a "transparent" preamp. CHeck out this link for example. http://www.prorec.com/prorec/pressrel.nsf/41ce47c8af04077a862565ee00564aa7/a5bed4f38ba0d603862568800020fcf2?OpenDocument

Need DI To Record My Bass W/ Active Pickups?

Don't you think the D112 is a little "hyped" and "scooped" in the wrong places? Ok, it's got the low, lots of it too. If that's all you're using you're probably using a lot of EQ, unless you want Reggae Dub Bass.

Need DI To Record My Bass W/ Active Pickups?

Tons of places, pro audio mesagge boards, books, etc. Usually written by so called "professionals" i'm talking about the VLZ Pro with XDR preamps. There's actually a pretty big difference between the "VLZ pre's" and the VLZ Pro's.

Need DI To Record My Bass W/ Active Pickups?

I run vocals straight into the VLZ Pro as I've read numerous times that preamps under $500 wouldn't sound any better. I know live at least i've seen bass amps mic'd with SM57's. C3000 isn't adequate? Then how come some people swear by large diaphragm condensors for bass amps?

Need DI To Record My Bass W/ Active Pickups?

That's strange. I've only heard good things about it. So what do you guys suggest I do? How about using the "send" as an output on my Hartke (no line-out) along with an SM57 up close and a C3000B appr. 4 ft. away from the cab?

Need DI To Record My Bass W/ Active Pickups?

The things is basses with active pickups have built-in preamps. Would a $190 Sansamp improve the tone in some way over the built-in preamp? And would it even be able to handle the hot output? I think active basses can go straight into a line input in mixers. I'd rather be able to tweak it a...

Need DI To Record My Bass W/ Active Pickups?

I'm thinking about picking up the $190 Sansamp bass driver DI. Do I really need this though to record my bass that has active pickups? I have a hartke 200watt combo with a 15" speaker. Some mics I could use: akg C3000B (would be kind of a hassle since I use this for vox. and ac. guitars)...

What Kind Of Fender Jazz Bass Is This?

"....62 reissue....with all the hardware in place....' That's wht I thought too, but the '62 reissue seems to have only 2 knobs. (http://www.fender.com/gear/gear.php?partno=0190209) "The high school that I went to and played Jazz Band in had one of those. I thought that it sounded Terrible...

    Help Me Tune My Snare

Quote: "I don't know what you consider "fairly hard" Well If I pulled it any harder it would probably hurt and leave a mark on my finger for at least a minute. I'll try loosening it up. Re: micing the bottom head. No I'm not micing the bottom. I just have a 57 on top which is how I...

    Help Me Tune My Snare

The strainer ends sit on the head of all my snares I believe. I think they came that way. I could be wrong though. Speaking of strainers, does mine look about right? I'm thinking it might be a bit too tight?

    Help Me Tune My Snare

Thanks, I've seen that page before. I was hoping to do a more "hands-on" approach though. I'm hearing the bottom head too much. I am also trying to get "more crack". I'm thinking maybe the bottom is head is too tight. If that's the case then I have to get new lugs. The snares should also...

    Help Me Tune My Snare

I have always hated tuning my drums. I'm never quite happy with the way that they sound. Right now I'm trying to focus on getting my snare drum to sound good. It's a 6x14 maple drum with die cast rims. I made a page where I put up some soundfiles and a picture. Hopefully someone out there...
