Just wondering, is anyone still using wax cylinders for their recording medium? At home or otherwise? What kind of properties do you get, are there any good wax saturations? And is there a plugin to emulate that? Thanks!

Do you use these mics a lot? And if so can you post a link to a recording that was done with one so I can see what it sounds like? Also do you ever use Oktava mics?

I was told it can work as a digital out by the guy at the store. In the my computer's audio preferences there is an option for digital out, which I selected. As far as the clock thing, I was never really even aware of what that did, so I'll look into it. Thanks for the advice.
