IMHO Garageband is a really solid program sound wise. The lack of multiple recording channels at the same time is a definite negative, but I would imagine that future updates will allow for this since it is everyones first complaint. GB does kind of feel like a resource hog when I'm using it...

I need to buy an external drive for my ibook. 1.07GHz G4 7200 or higher. Size doesn't matter as much as price right now. Can anyone suggest a good one in the $99-$200 range? How noisy are they?

I have the Firepod too. I like it a lot. I record onto an iBook G4 and it does max out pretty quick, so I would suggest getting a faster drive. The sound quality is pristine. I love it!

I can't get the waves plugins to show up in my version of LE. I've checked the "preload waves plugins at startup" box, but..nothing, All my other apps recognise them. Any suggestions?
