i think you hit the nail on the head werner, i definitely think this song should be driven by the bass as sort of a lead instrument that can stand out. we'll see what these folks come up with :)

cool, it'll be interesting to see different ideas for bass on this song. it's one, i feel, that is open to multiple interpretations.

i'm definitely of the mindset that mic'd sounds far better. pickups, from what i've heard, aren't always great for reproducing the true sound of the guitar, plus with a mic you can get far more ambiance and such. but definitely try both and see for yourself

well i believe the problem is that the 1010lt doesn't provide phantom power, which condensors need. you'll need an external preamp with phantom power for that mic to record. only dynamic mics work with the xlr inputs on the 1010lt
