I got my DAW running ok on MCE, but I don't have anything to compare it to. Seems to be running just fine to me tho. I have a few drop outs now and then, but I am not even sure I have the system configured properly yet... These programs are really complex!

I can tell that I need to end up getting power conditioning, the rig is that sensative. I had planned on getting a good mic, but I am a bit surprised at how nice it is, that and the mic pres on the presonus are impressive. I will have to do a search for that mic to see how people like using it...

I'm trying to find out why Presonus warns against using xpmedia because of having so many problems with that OS. Did you need to make some adjustments in your XPmedia to let it play friendly with the Firebox? That is my rig in question. Glad to hear it's working good for you.

How do you do it? I'll go google it if I can't find how to do it here. I have a laptop that I may not keep so I do not want to format and load a new os, plus buying another version of xp when you already have one, seems a waist of money, especially if you can just tweak it to get it to work.

This is from the Presonus firebox compatability website. Why? My laptop comes with that OS, is there something I can turn off or whatever to allow the Presonus to work fine in xp media? I am presently doing the intial hardware install. I hope it works ok... :confused:

I got the Firebox, the FaderPort, nice condesor mic, headset, cable, and boom mic stand. :D Spent a wad, but it should be worth it. :rolleyes:
