Interesting that you brought this up RAMIDude.
I've been thinking of doing video too. I've got a pretty good camera and it said something about 14 megapixels... has the smart card thingy etc.
It does pretty decent video. I could get the info about it if it sounds like it sounds like something...
Yeah, for optimum results, it's gonna take a little acoustic work on your room. Bass traps are your friend. :)
Do some reading and you'll get the idea.
One thing I wanted to mention was that drums are one of the hardest instruments to get to sound good. So don't get flusterpated too much when...
Mine's the Akai DPS24. I like faders and knobs. It can be a portable machine but it's kind of big and heavy.
Just bought a second one off ebay as it's been obsolete for a few years now and it's my security blanket. :)
Plus, the one I just got has waaay less miles on it.
sweet.
I admit...It's been awhile since I even tried it cuz last time it fucked everything all to hell.
:D
Sure would be a time saver if I could get the shit right since I'm working on drum tracks atm...
And I've got 7 more tunes I tracked.
That's a lot of editing.
I know it's just my own lack of expertise but I've never got a gate to sound natural. So I just go in like SeaFroggy does and manually edit the snare and sometimes kick.
Time consuming for sure but better punch and clarity.
YO!
Congrats RamiDude!
That's a right purdy guit-fiddle. I've never had the SG but I've got a couple of Epi LP's and have played on several Epi's that friends own and I've always been impressed with the build quality.
Pretty sure ya just added to my g.a.s.
But I'll be strong.
I'll get my...
On the TV? That's funny.
:D
And I think that's very true ChiliDude. I know my truck system really well. I did replace the deck and speakers so I've got a good crankin system but you're right. I know the strengths and weaknesses of it and it's one of the first places I go to check mixes.
oh...
(ahem)
mic
:D
OP...
pretty much like they said. If you've got a dedicated space for recording, the best bang for the buck you'll get is gonna be room treatment. Bass traps usually come first.
More bang for the buck than pretty much any piece of gear you'd buy.
:)
And that's pretty much why I said, if it's workin for ya, roll widdit TIL IT DON'T.
That last part is gonna come into play as you get better at all of this. You'll start seeing the "holes" in not having a good setup with decent monitors.
Until then, fuck it. Use what you've got, learn that...
didn't take you long to figger that shit out. :D
Sharp as the edge of town, you are.... :laughings:
kidding.....
A good and worthy build, grasshoppa. :guitar:
:D
dem wimmins is expensive, ain't they.
Good on you man. And your pal who owns the place. Does he play too?
Mad props, good sir.
And keep da pics comin.
;)
