There are few people who have built this desk and rounded off the the fronts of the "feet" and rounded off the edges to make it less formidable to the toes.
(Although it does have big feet :) people have been able to build it for as little as $50 and easily...

I have photos from a guy who llives in Manila who finished building his desk same day the Phillipines got smashed by storms a number of months ago.
