Which company's drums do you play? VOTE

I've been banging on the same set of Pearls since 1979, almost due for a rewrap, but they sound as good if not better now than they did the day I bought 'em. Add the vintage Zildjians and it's a damn good kit.

    Do Quiet Drums Exist?

If the heads need changing, change them, but buy heads for the tone quality you want, the volume problem isn't the drums, it's the drummer. It'll just take him a bit of practice, but dynamics are the drummers best tool, he's gotta learn to use them. It is possible to play with high intensity...

Im having such a bitch getting my drums...

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..............................Compression. Not to be overused, but the "C" word has saved many of my drum tracks. I haven't listened to your clip yet, I'm in the office now, but when I get to the studio I'll check it out and see if I can help.

    Tracking a poetry reading.................

How do I treat this differently than a singer? Or would I? I'm thinking it should have a fairly large amount of room sound. There will be four readers in the performance, and I'm wondering about using a condensor mic on each voice or just going with a pair of overheads for a more live, coffee...

    pod vs j station

looking for a used modeler on ebay, it looks like a toss up between the Line 6 POD 2.0 and the Johnson J-Station. One plus for the J-Station is that it can be used with a bass as well while the POD is guitar only. (unless you buy a bass POD)

    Pedal Choice

Boss BD2 or SD1 I have no intention of ever being a shredder, I'll play mostly blues and a little classic rock on a Strat. I don't have easy access to a shop where I can demo them or I would.

Fender Hot Rods: Blues Jr Vs Pro Jr

are they basically the same amp? one with a 10 the other with a 12? the tube setup and wattage is the same, the blues Jr has controls for the master and pre and three band eq, the Pro Jr has only volume and tone, am I gonna regret no control for the pre amp tubes? New, the blues is only about...

    Doubling track pulls lead back.........

I double tracked the vox, then edited the second track so it comes in only on certain phrases, but when it comes in, it pulls both voices to the back of the mix making them sound soft and distant. How can I fix this?
