i think that's part of the issue...:( you wouldn't happen to know what each cap looks like do you? at the link i provided, there are further links to before/after pics that show the new caps. maybe that helps to narrow it down?

oh, there's no question about this. i mean, you go to any of the major websites music stores, or crack open any catalog and you have endless variety to choose from. finding good stuff used is always a treasure hunt. if you have any local drum shops or even a gc close by, those places will sell...

^^this^^ and i don't even need the digital output! i do know the burr-brown ics are the same (this is explicitly in the description), so i'm guessing the comp and eq isn't quite as nice, since the oneq is a single-channel version of the twinq and it's fairly pricey as well. i may go the threeq...

that, my friend, is the highly regarded mapex black panther premium 6.5" snare. a lot of ppl around here use it, and i absolutely LOVE that snare. i have a little eq applied to that track, but no reverb, no anything else. thanks for asking! :)
