'Breathe' ..appreciate any observations re mix. Thanks.

Great - agree with what's been said - the main vocal could go up a dB or 2 - about half way through it seems to do that anyway - also backing vocals could go up a tad level or maybe eq +2/3 dB around 2khz. Re limiter it all sounds good to me - is it a de-esser you're thinking about. Great...

    "Michaels House", brand new tune

This very very good. Playing, sounds just when I thought something needs to change here, go quieter, strip down it did - loved the last 30 seconds where it started going in a different direction made me want to here more. You have complete nailed the sounds and overall mix - as you imply its the...

"Pali Face", a fuzzy spacey instrumental

Great sound drums/guitar/bass Can't really fault the overall sound. As you imply - it's not a fully formed song yet. You have a nice - very nice sounding moody, brooding, pink Floyd with gong overtones sound - what's needed is a story board and 2 or more different feel sections where the...

    New song in progress

Hi - great bass part/sound - but too dominant in the mix - from a general mix eq would like to hear more 1-3khz and some more top end air around 10+ khz. Vocals need to top of the ear interest - more level, compression 2khz lift. Try using a multiband limiter like the L3 that has an algorithm...

    Kind of Soul Thing.

Hi Nzausrec, very cool mellow vibe, lifted my mood thankyou! Peformances are very good especially the vocal Mix wise I think its pretty spot on, maybe try a little more reverb on the vocal. The overall sound is nice and full/loud, would be interested to know what you had over the master...

thanks for the reply rayc, well listened, i spent a lot of time placing things in the stereo field, especially the percussion. Also I was continually tempted to pick up guitar and add various bits, but didnt. I put it on this forum to get the kind of feedback that you have given, and now i...

    Please give me another chance!

Sorry if I was unclear, I certainly dont think you sound sombre, I was just pointing out a few of the myriad moods you could exude. yes it did sound thankful/joyful, but I suppose what I was saying is if you are gonna do that one, really go for it. your right in that I guess it as a lot to do...

    Please give me another chance!

Hi Lifelyric recording wise its good, the balance is fine, possibly take the piano up a touch when the vocals drop out.(you could do this automatically with the right compression on the mix. Are you doing both vocals? I ask because one sounds much more comfortable with the higher notes...
