Agreed......though I think the diff's in equipment are often exaggerated, much like the diff in many things in terms of cost/brand/etc.
lol - yeah, as I say, a lot of people get into a particular hobby or interest or whatever and get tragically to wrapped up in pretentious idiocy with it...
Bingo, that's what I think, but I can't say how definitive that is or isn't here.
That's the other rub. If someone steals your stuff, it's likely to be no small amount of time, cost and effort to beat them back. Unless this is your livelihood, you'd have to seriously question if it's worth...
? No I'm not; I get they are 2 diff things. And sorry, but as stated, your car analogy is not valid. :)
Based on that logic, then why would something written down or on a CD (etc) be any better? It just proves I have something on paper or CD, or whatever. I could have stolen that and copied...
Which is still fuzzy if not just plain stupid. ie what if I email to myself? That is fixed, but it's not "tangible," at least not in the literal sense that I can touch it exactly. And why does it being "tangible" - say on a sheet of paper - count, but if I then mail it to myself, somehow...
OK I decided to look this up and I stand corrected and pass the crow. :) It appears the laws changed in 89. Damn I'm old. That said though, it is a bit confusing.....eg from this page: Copyright Law of the United States | U.S. Copyright Office we get:
As you said. OK. But:
??? That...
lol - sure you SAY that -
I hope not, for your sake.
? No. Not in the USA anyway. I don't know why this keeps popping up. There's no such thing. In fact the whole concept is rather silly, if you think about it. You need to prove you came up with it first in SOME way.
Even if so, that doesn't mean they want it stolen.
And based on that I'm keeping an eye out for you ;) Nobody's touching my "Cheddar Cheese Girl" classic! Elton John tried and failed.....
No, that's not a copyright, but many would agree that there is little if any need....
Exactly...that's about where I'm at. The odds of anyone trying to steal anything of mine is pretty close to zero, even if I am crazy enough to post it publicly for sale AND someone is desperate/stupid enough...
Sorry, it's still wrong. There are other good LDC mics with good reps in his range; in fact, he already mentioned one in the AT 2035. The AT 2020 and AGK 200 series (200, 200 etc) have also gotten positive reviews and recommendations........but as others have stated, it's all very subjective...
Thanks for the replies. Basically, for me, anyone asking for ANY information from me, including an email address, immediately loses me. If the goal is to provide free info, then simply provide it on the site; don't ask for my info first. You've no need for my email address unless it's to...
I think it's hilarious. As if it's all about technology and not skill. lol - I'm new to the game and even I know better. If I can make something that is simply respectable I'll be happy...anything beyond that is gravy.
I'm pretty new to all of this, but even I know that's wrong. Frankly I would have stopped seeking his advice at that point. As gecko said, it depends primarily on what kind of sound you want. Really I would think a ribbon would not be "bright" enough, but can't say for sure, and again if...
Sounds like you should be fine.
More info and probably better responses here: https://homerecording.com/bbs/general-discussions/digital-recording-and-computers/
Saw his site here: Home Studio Center: Free Tutorials, Courses and more
But his slick advertising style approach immediately drew suspicion despite the "it's all totally free!" claims.
Anyone up on this guy?
Thanks.......I guess primarily I'm thinking of using them for two purposes: one, as a way to more quickly/easily learn some songs, and two, to give me some ideas of chord structures and possibly how to use them for my own songs, as my knowledge of chords is admittedly limited (not so much...
Not up on this, but wondering if there are sites where you can download/purchase MIDI files (or MIDI data) that effectively are "recordings" of songs and use-? ie you'd import into your DAW and could play back, record, overdub, etc. For ex. if you want to sing and record some songs but don't...
