Yes, there is no proprietary code in Sonar VSTi"s that I'm aware of. They will work in just about any VST host, although I've had some trouble with Ableton recognizing them.

No they won't. You'll just get answers like the one above. I would disable any on-board wi-fi card and it's adapter and try again. I would also try both situations running on battery alone. Could be you have grounding issues in your home wiring.
