    Jam18

Some quirky stuff in there Bulls. Interesting kind of ping-ponging effect at the end of that first minute. I like the way your ideas seam together. Like those guit lines that are written in at 1:02. Not sure mix wise if I had any problems but then again my hearing eq charts like this \...

Just got my CD back from Mastering...need some thoughts OK!!

Listening to Homestead right now. Not really noticing too much of a similarity to Alice in Chains, maybe a bit more of Soundgarden feel to me than Alice. Like that groovy riff at 1:15, sounds like a fun one to play perhaps I'll get on workin that out. Good idea to post both a mastered and...

    Indie Radio (need music!)

I'm not sure if this belongs in the mixing clinic, but I'd be glad to help you if I can. Although if it went to the marketing forum you'd probably get little responses. As long as it's for broadcast only there's some downloads here that you can use: http://newparadigmmusic.com/downloads.html...

song to be sent to colleges...help needed!

All I can say is how cool would it be to have my college application be a recording I made! Man, that sux I was born some years too early (course there's no guarantee I would've gotten accepted  ) Nice lilty drifty laid back song. Maybe some high definition missing off the vox...

Producer for Publisher - Heavy Rock or Softer Pop?

Listening to "Fits Like a Glove" Liked the picture on your website, that was pretty funny you look like a cosmonaut there. :D It seems like a lot of one man projects are sprouting up I agree I thought that was a workable way to go, good luck with everything. Yeah I don't know if I missed the...

    Free Beer!

Wooohooo! With a title like 'Free Beer' how could I resist. Listening to the opening cut Warm Winter. Liking the sound of the band as a whole really reminds me of this band I used to listen to a few years ago that signed to (RCA i think)?? called "Shift". Like the guitar and bass...

    Added Lyrics

Sorry you didn't get many replies Rokket. Perhaps it's the source inspiration, I mean passing grandparents will definitely evoke sympathy but it's also a far cry from the traditional rock and rock in your face rebellion. I thought the melody vox lines were workable, a little repetitious from...

Need help with this one! (rock)

Like the droning intro.. guitar seems to come in very loud and then the level drops almost too much when the rest of the instruments kick in and the guy says "here we go". Hmm.. not sure how I feel about the phaser on the vox. I like the vocals but i'm feeling like the effect is too...

Please critique recording of our song "The Quiet Hours"

Interesting sound to that bass, I like the 'personality' of it. It's very well defined on the high eq end characteristics, I agree maybe some of the lows seem missing but I think overall the bass part is strong just not perfect. I like the vox, kinda reminds me of an Alanis Tori hybrid with...

    "Nice Paradise" - comments welcome

Hey Alistababa, It's kind of strange are country influences something that is often found in music from around you? Well done as usual, where are these western influences coming from. The back vox add to the whole atmosphere. Heh! i like your description "strange glasgow country". Hope...

    reggae style party band

Diggin that bonky snare. What a nice clear clank. This reminds me a bit more of Sublime than reggae. Especially since the vocalist has a Brad Dolan feel and even sounds similar. Like the upbeat guits, well recorded good sound. I like the production on this it sounds very well done. This...

    A Recent Demo

I'll have to try that sometime.... :D

    A Recent Demo

Opening bass sounds a bit flubby and there's no high end definition to the band, but the vox sound pretty well done. The vocalist sounds like a good performer and has a good sounding "blues" voice. I like the first guitar leads, tasty and tasteful. On to the second guitar lead, the riffs...

    Critique this track...

This is slightly past nintendo I think. I'm pretty sure we're into sonic the hedgehog zone. If they wanted mission impossible stuff I probby would've increased the tempo slightly, this seems to have a bit more bouncy groove. I liked it though, some of those sounds remind me of bocephalus's...

I listened to it. I have no idea what to do with drums. It sounded like drums tho.

    Any feedback on my song?

Well it looks like using 4 tracks didn't overwhelm you. It's a pretty sparse arrangement though with just acoustic and vox so there's really not a lot to get tangled up in. Thought the dual vox at 1:16 came in a little loud but maybe because it's like it's overloading one of the higher...

Check Out These Mp3's From Alternative Rock Solo Artist Jesse Michael Garcia In Utah

Don't feel bad bloke.. although this is like watching the scene from shawshank where they try to make the fresh fish cry the music sucked but don't let anyone here get to you because it's not like you have a brain tumor and can't learn how to get better or your kids are ugly  If...

    thing

Excellent work Sam, liked the vocals in this one very much. The solo melodic choices were also very good i thought. The full sound of the 'samicide band' is excellent. I think you're at the producing point where it's not 'if' you can record it, but rather how you want it to sound.
