The reason why there aren't more users, are because other interfaces sound better, in the same price catagory.
The E-Mu 1820M is $400 now, when you search Froogle, and sounds better.
I can back that statement up.
The 1212M, or 1820M either can produce some AMAZING sounding tracks, and for $400 for the 1820M, it's an absolute no brainer.
I've used probably 95% of the interfaces out there, and I haven't found one, for PC that sounds better for less than $900.
Now of course...
$50 - $100

I'm not out to get rich off some beats, I'll keep it cheap because people are broke these days, and by keeping it cheap, I'll take YOUR clients.
I see no problem with what Killah is doing.
He told the guy to re-do it, because he spotted problems, he wasn't being big headed, he was trying to help the dude get the best of his stuff, and if that's a BAD thing, then some of you engineers are FUCKING LAZY.
I should add...
This is what I already own.
RME Fireface
Apogee Rosetta 800 192
Big Ben
Bluebird, ADK TC
Soundelux U195
AT 4050
Soundelux iFET7
RNC (2)
And then I own all pre-amps, but the U5
So I'm only buying the rest of the list.
I own some of this already, and have sold a good amount of equipment, so I have about $40,000 to work with on my part.
Here is my feel...but I have to take into consideration my partners thoughts too.
Interface:
