    If I remember right, the converters found in it, are actually MORE than a step up from Delta's, as it uses the same converters found in the Lynx Two, Metric Halo and Motu HD192 interface.

    Exactly, because you can use it with laptop, or desktop, and still have the E-Mu's quality converters. To be able to use it on both, it's worth the extra $90.
