I've read good things about Melda MAutoPitch. I haven't used it myself as I have Melodyne Essential, so I can't give a personal view.

Melodyne Essential is a good match for that situation.

If it's just for mixing down then Studio One Free couldn't be any cheaper. You'd have to rely on onboard effects, though, as this version doesn't work with VSTs.

For strings and brass you could have a listen to Komplete Elements. It comes with lots of instruments and synth sounds and is really good value for money, especially as it comes with a money-off voucher for half the price you pay. But if you don't need all of the extra stuff, then it might not...

Not a song I know but I'm impressed. Very nicely done. It could perhaps do with a slightly bigger dynamic range, ie not just singing loudly all the way through. But I do like the processing on the voice. And... Seconded.
