    good but inexpensive preamp?

The FEThead is pretty cool, but it would only solve the volume issue, while the noise that the Art Dual Pre picks up would still mantain... Im interested in the Art Tube MP since its pretty cheap (I´m in a pretty tight budget), and at least must be better than my interface preamps...

    good but inexpensive preamp?

Hey guys, I have an Art Dual Pre audio interface, and I´m really not happy with the onboard preamps, they are noisy and doesn´t put out a lot of volume. I saw this Art Tube MP preamp, which has a valve and sounds good for what I´ve heard in youtube demos, has anyone tried it or owns one? Which...

    Sliding noises recording guitar

Hey guys, I´ve recently recorded guitar part with heavy distortion, and it has these really noisy sliding sounds from the strings. I don´t like the sound, so I´ve tried lowering their volume, but its kinda hard to see the sound in the sine wave since it was recorded through a pedal, so there...

    Reberv question

Thanks for the replies. The thing is, do you route ALL the tracks to a single reverb track for the sake of consistency? or do you leave some instruments out of it? Im asking because i´ve tried adding all of the tracks to a reverb bus, and even though the effect was in low volume, it sounded...

    Reberv question

Sorry if this is a newbie question, but here it is: I like drums with a healthy dose of reberv, specially the snare. But, later, if I want to apply reberv to the whole mix to glue it together, wont it clash with the one that I applied to the drums? Im thinking it will make drums sound strange...

    De essing question

Hey guys, I have a vocal track that needs some deessing, and the vsts for that are not very effective. I was thinking, would it be convenient to compress the track like I normally would, so its nice and even, and then using automation to lower the volume of the esses? or should I just go ahead...

    Help with "drowned vocals"

Well guys, the issue has been fixed. Turned out, it was the mic cable that was defective and was causing a robotic buzz. Changed it, and voila! perfect vocals. Thanks for the posts!

Upgrade to Art Usb Dual Pre

Hey guys, since I learned how to record on the computer, I´ve been using the Art Usb Dual Pre as an audio interface. Its not bad, but I think it´s time to get a better gear. What do you recomend? I´m looking for an upgrade, but nothing really expensive

    Help with "drowned vocals"

Well, the unprocessed sound has quite a lot of buzzing noise, you can even hear it in between the singer´s small pauses. The Reafir VST removes pretty much all of that, but that small but noticeable underwater remains. Beyond that, the voice is mostly ok, with sibillance audible but not...

    Help with "drowned vocals"

The vocal is an isolated track, looks like the noise comes from the hardware used (the mic, preamp and cables are not highest quality he). You´re right on the compression, I´ll try backing it off

    Help with "drowned vocals"

Hey guys, recently, I began mixing a track with vocals on it. The vocal track had quite a lot of background noise, so I used the Reafir plugin that comes with Reaper (sort of a noise reduction tool). It removed almost all of the noise, but the vocals sound a bit "underwater", with a lot of the...
