Left With You - vox by msundh

Not sure what you're asking really but ....... WrisTLocK is my one man Hard Rock/Punk/Metal home recording project. It's the "band" name. Left With You is a song written and recorded for the WrisTLocK project. Left With You - Feat. msundh is the same song except the vocals were performed and...

Left With You - vox by msundh

Posted this song a while back and was contacted by Mr. msundh who offered/asked if I would be interested in doing a version with him handling the vocals. I agreed. Link to both versions:

Beg & Steal - alternative indie rock original

I'm listening on phone so can't really comment on the mix. However sounds really good, everything sits well and has space, nothing stood out as bad. I'm impressed, damn fine job ?

Let Me Out - (Sideways Rock Track W.I.P)

As related in the title this is work in progress. This is one of the first tracks I ever recorded some years ago Had no interface, plugged in to motherboard line-in jack Used a Pandora's Box for guitar and bass so it's burned in can't change it Track has been around awhile. Lyrics/vocals...

    Fred is Dead

2nd the Gilmour statement But also agree what's here is also rather good. Mix seems nice, clear, space for everything ....I listened on phone so can't say much more mix wise. I dig it

    "Insanity's Door"

I agree with most of K-Dub's observations in general. Performances are great and I feel like I get what you're going after with this tune, it loaded with potential and has all the ingredients for a cool ass tune. Would like to hear go beyond demo.

    Black I - (Rock - W.I.P)

Hadn't really considered tempo change, it's always been a droning sludgey feeling thing. But certainly won't rule it out. Thx for listening and for the feedback. Much appreciated !

    Black I - (Rock - W.I.P)

I get what you're saying and hearing. I think a bit of eq variation could improve the separation and distinction of the guitars. Will revisit. Thx !!

How Can I Improve This Mix?

I listened on my phone so keep that in mind. It seemed to me the synths were to loud in the mix but that is subjective. I'll have another listen once home and see if I can provide you feedback that is actually helpful.

    Uprising !

Is it a cover ? Yes. Original is by the band Muse, who I had never heard of until recently. I heard the song at a bar and the lyrics got my attention. Not really my genre but the song stuck in my head. That lead to deciding to have a go at it. My interpretation is reasonably close to original...

    Uprising !

Thank you all for the comments, much appreciated ! I have a tendency to keep vocals low as I'm uncomfortable hearing my voice. However after living with this mix for a bit I agree the vocal should be more up front. It's sits ok in first verse but once guitars come in vocal needs to come up...

    Uprising !

Hey all, Mixed on headphones, how does it translate to your systems ? Used Neutron 3 for the first time on the master, more specifically the mix assist algorithm. Seemed to have excessive high mids and highs so I made adjustments. Any thoughts appreciated. Thank you...

    AC/DC - THE JACK - LIVE - COVER

Appreciate the input. I hear what you're referring to. I think I have the low end of vocal choked off with an eq pass, I'll try opening it up to allow more lows. Tweak lead guitar low end then Maybe do some automation on crowd noise. Thank you for listening and commenting !!

    AC/DC - THE JACK - LIVE - COVER

If you want blood - I wore the grooves out of that album when I was a kid, played it so much. The arraignment and performances on that album are etched in my brain and mostly what I based my version off. I didn't want to go note for note or word for word, but instead close. Close enough to...

Sum Of All Fears - Grunge Track

Another cool track. I'll echo TalismanRich as to getting a little SoundGarden vibe, which IMO is not a bad thing at all. Nice job Jon !!!

    AC/DC - THE JACK - LIVE - COVER

Few years back I did a studio version cover of AC/DC's "The Jack" that was almost decent, maybe. For this "Live" version cover I tracked new vocal, added the crowd noise to a cut up rearrangement of my original guitar, bass and drum tracks with a bit of reverb to hopefully get the "Live" vibe...
