I'm listening on phone so can't really comment on the mix. However sounds really good, everything sits well and has space, nothing stood out as bad. I'm impressed, damn fine job ?

I agree with most of K-Dub's observations in general. Performances are great and I feel like I get what you're going after with this tune, it loaded with potential and has all the ingredients for a cool ass tune. Would like to hear go beyond demo.

Hadn't really considered tempo change, it's always been a droning sludgey feeling thing. But certainly won't rule it out. Thx for listening and for the feedback. Much appreciated !

I get what you're saying and hearing. I think a bit of eq variation could improve the separation and distinction of the guitars. Will revisit. Thx !!

I listened on my phone so keep that in mind. It seemed to me the synths were to loud in the mix but that is subjective. I'll have another listen once home and see if I can provide you feedback that is actually helpful.

Is it a cover ? Yes. Original is by the band Muse, who I had never heard of until recently. I heard the song at a bar and the lyrics got my attention. Not really my genre but the song stuck in my head. That lead to deciding to have a go at it. My interpretation is reasonably close to original...

Thank you all for the comments, much appreciated ! I have a tendency to keep vocals low as I'm uncomfortable hearing my voice. However after living with this mix for a bit I agree the vocal should be more up front. It's sits ok in first verse but once guitars come in vocal needs to come up...

Appreciate the input. I hear what you're referring to. I think I have the low end of vocal choked off with an eq pass, I'll try opening it up to allow more lows. Tweak lead guitar low end then Maybe do some automation on crowd noise. Thank you for listening and commenting !!

Few years back I did a studio version cover of AC/DC's "The Jack" that was almost decent, maybe. For this "Live" version cover I tracked new vocal, added the crowd noise to a cut up rearrangement of my original guitar, bass and drum tracks with a bit of reverb to hopefully get the "Live" vibe...
