    Behringer, a jem or crap?

You would think. Ah well. At least I smartened up. I know of a church that has spent over $15,000 on Behringer equipment, all of which has crapped out, and they are still buying gear from them.

I guess I never really introduced myself...

Hopefully the property taxes won't get too high ;)

    Recording drums with Yamaha Audigram6?

Your best bet is to find a 4 xlr input mixer, a good 4 xlr input interface would be above your budget.

I guess I never really introduced myself...

I joined the forum a few days ago. I'm sure you've seen my posts around. I have a reasonable knowledge of recording and mixing. Know next to nothing about mastering (the graph things look pretty though :D ) though. I'm here to learn, and to help where I can. I like romantic walks on the beach...

    Sonar X1 vs Sonar 8.5

Think an Intel quad core running OCed at 3.6 ghz with hyper threading and 12 gb of ddr3 ram is enough? ;)

Well, apparently less than 1% of Behringer equipment is defective don't-cha-know?

    Another introduction on the pile

Welcome aboard. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Everyone's friendly here. Well, Greg's friendliness is debatable. EDIT: Looks like you have a pretty good setup. And Reaper is an excellent program.

    Recording drums with Yamaha Audigram6?

Define inexpensive. For some people that means $50 is too much. To others it means "Anything under $10,000 is great"

If You Had All The Money In The World..

Why waste money on a house? Just buy Europe. Probably. But it wouldn't matter to me. $5 bucks per SM57 is as good as it gets.

    Behringer, a jem or crap?

I have spent close to $2800 on behringer gear. The only thing that didn't crap out on me for no reason what so ever was a couple of PA speakers I bought from them.

If You Had All The Money In The World..

For sure. But they always seem to work fine. I was lucky enough to find a set of 4 SM57s (I thought they were fakes when I got them, because of the price, but it turns out they are genuine) at a garage sale for $20 for the set. Two were sorta beaten up but the other two were in mint condition...

If You Had All The Money In The World..

Idk man, those fragile SM57s are at the least a close second.

If You Had All The Money In The World..

Tell me about it. I have since disallowed anyone other than me to touch it. EDIT: Sadly enough I've never had anyone knock over any of my other microphones, yet this one has been knocked over three times. Yes. Three.

How do you learn about recording? And Berklee Music.

Oh. I knew I should've saved for the acoustic electric version. Me and my stupid buying impulses.
