    Edirol PCR-50 or M-Audio Radium 61?

I tried one wrapper, but it did'nt seem to work with XP or something was corrupted. I don't really want to spend alot of money on a wrapper program right now, so if you know of some inexpensive ones or, better yet, free ones, let me know. Peace.

    Edirol PCR-50 or M-Audio Radium 61?

I don't use a sustain pedal at this point, but will in the future. I use Cakewalk recording software, Edirol VSC and Dreamstation that came with it, Synth1 and TriangleII. I may be switching to Cubase in the near future to be able to use VSTI synths though. I hope this helps! Peace.

    Edirol PCR-50 or M-Audio Radium 61?

I have a Radium49, and I like it. It does what I need it to do and did'nt cost much. It may not be as nice as an Edirol, but until I learn how to actually play piano/keys instead of just sequencing with it, the Radium will do just fine. And it was only $150 brand new. Peace.

    Humbucker cheap guitar brands?

I have an Ibanez RG220 that I got for $250 at GC. I added DiMarzio pickups, a Steves Special at the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck, and its every bit a JPM at this point. Same body wood, same basic neck profile, and sounds pretty toney. $350 plus taxes. I'm pretty satisfied with it.

    midi drum controller

That thread about the mesh heads was in here. Try Interstate Music for the heads. They're pretty cheap so I may try this myself. Good Luck!

    midi drum controller

Cybal triggers could be made the same way, so all these home made pads would be like the roland single zone triggers. I saw that meash head deal at the Pearl Drummers Forum. I can go search for it. If you google home made drum triggers, you should find several sites that talk about this. Peace.

    Big Drums..

Cobradenim.... You should really be more careful about who you slag on. I happen to play small toms. In fact, I play exactly the sizes you mentioned. And that would somehow make me a pussy? Are you in the habit of calling ex Green Berets pussies? I'd say your comment makes you an ignorant...

    midi drum controller

I've read online about people building trigger pads using piezo buzzers and practice pads. This seems like something I may try to do in the future. I've also seen mesh heads to replace the heads on regular kits to silence them for practice purposes. The whole set for a 5 piece shell pack costs...

Improving sound of a crap set

I usually tune my reso's lower than my batters. I think it all comes down to taste and what heads you're using. Try looking at the drum tuning bible and see how that goes for you. Google drum tuning bible to get it. Get a good base tuning, and then go from there to see what your drums like...

    poor man's controller/keyboard

I have a Radium 49. 8 knobs and 8 sliders. Works great with my Cakewalk. I use it to control Edirol VSC, DreamStation, Synth1 and some others. I have no problems with it. Anyone know of some rrealistic DXi drum sounds? Freeware would be great. I'm trying to find some that actually sound like...

Are there any neutral un-hyped Humbuckers out there?

I have an Air Norton in my Ibanez RG, but I use it in the neck position. Very clean, sweet sounding pickup. I use a Steve's Special in the bridge. You may not like that one. Way scooped mids and pretty high output. But for what I play, which is alot of prog metal, it works well. I can get...

    Bottom heads....

It sounds like a tuning issue to me. If the resonant (bottom) head is making some kind of noise, or if it's the batter head for that matter, when you kick, the problem is more than likely sympathetic vibrations. Tighten or loosen those heads til you have no kore problem. Better yet, try...

    Hollow bodies vs. solid bodies

Have you thought about a Thinline Telecaster? Same shape as the standerd tele, but with an f-hole. Just a thought. Peace.

Hey John, you're in Schaumberg? I grew up in Waukegan. Small, small world! You seem to be into alot of metal stuff. I play alot of proggy metal, although in Seattle, there isn't much of it here. Nice site too! Peace.

    New to this forum

I just wanted to say hello to everyone! I am new to pc based recording and am learning my new Cakewalk MC2004 software. Still trying to figure out some of the editing and midi stuff, but audio recording works great! I play guitar and drums, and have done alot of live FOH work in the past...
